Voodflow Software License ​

Summary ​

Voodflow is source-available software. The source code is provided to licensees for transparency, security auditing, and authorized customization — but it is not open source. Use is governed exclusively by this license.

1. Definitions ​

  • "Software" — the Voodflow plugin, including all PHP, JavaScript, CSS, configuration files, and associated documentation.
  • "Licensee" — the individual or legal entity that has purchased a valid Voodflow license.
  • "Installation" — a single running instance of the Software on one domain/server environment (production, staging, or local development count as separate environments covered by a single license seat).
  • "Subscription" — an active, paid Voodflow plan that grants rights to use the Software and receive updates.

2. License Grant ​

Subject to the terms of this license and the existence of a valid active Subscription, Voodflow grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to:

  • Install and use the Software on the number of Installations covered by their Subscription plan.
  • View and read the source code for the purposes of security auditing, understanding behavior, and customization.
  • Modify the source code solely for use within the Licensee's own authorized Installations.

3. Restrictions ​

The Licensee may not, under any circumstances:

  1. Redistribute the Software or any derivative work, in whole or in part, to any third party.
  2. Sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or transfer any rights granted under this license.
  3. Publish or make publicly available the source code or any substantial portion of it.
  4. Circumvent, disable, remove, or modify any license validation, activation check, subscription enforcement, or copy-protection mechanism present in the Software.
  5. Use the Software to build a competing product — i.e., a product that replicates substantially similar functionality and is offered to third parties.
  6. Offer the Software as a managed service or SaaS to third parties without an explicit written agreement with Voodflow.
  7. Use the Software after the Subscription has expired or is terminated, except to continue using the Software solely for your existing Installations. In that case, you will no longer receive any Updates or new Nodes and you will not be entitled to any Subscription-related support, except as expressly allowed during any grace period set out in the Subscription terms. The maximum allowed number of workflows and nodes you may use in your existing Installations will remain unchanged.

4. Ownership ​

The Software remains the exclusive intellectual property of Voodflow. This license does not transfer any ownership rights. Any modifications made by the Licensee to the Software do not create ownership of the original Software or any derivative.

5. License Validation ​

The Software may contact Voodflow's license validation servers to verify the validity of the Subscription. The Licensee agrees to:

  • Maintain a valid VOODFLOW_LICENSE_KEY in their environment.
  • Not block, proxy, or spoof license validation requests.
  • Promptly report any unauthorized use or license key exposure to support@voodflow.io.

6. Termination ​

This license terminates automatically if:

  • The Subscription expires and is not renewed within the applicable grace period.
  • The Licensee breaches any term of this license.
  • Voodflow terminates the license for cause, with written notice.

Upon termination, the Licensee must cease using the Software and delete all copies from their systems.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties ​

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE LICENSEE ASSUMES ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

8. Limitation of Liability ​

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOODFLOW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Governing Law ​

This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [your city].

Voodflow is built on top of open source projects (Laravel, FilamentPHP, Livewire, React, ReactFlow, and others). Their respective licenses remain in effect for those components. Voodflow's proprietary license applies only to the original code authored by Voodflow.
